Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, number, or other term entered in a sponsored search tool is sent to the outside company that operates the tool. That provider processes the request and returns its result. Jefferson County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the communication. It is not shared beyond the people who handle it unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical records may be created when a page loads.
- Internet Protocol address

- Pages viewed and approximate visit duration

- Date and time of the request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics services help measure traffic, page performance, and common navigation paths. A browser can reject or remove cookies, although some features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical information supports ordinary site operations.
- Operate, secure, and improve page performance
- Send a submitted search to the selected provider

No Court-Record Data on File
Jefferson County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Colorado court dockets or personal case files. Official case records are maintained by the Clerk of Court, Jefferson Combined Court / First Judicial District, or the relevant municipal court. Colorado Chief Justice Directive 05-01 governs court case access; CORA, C.R.S. ยงยง 24-72-200.1 through 206, applies to many agency records but does not replace the court's case-record rules. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the sponsored search boxes. Information entered there is subject to the provider's privacy terms, retention rules, and sharing practices. Review that policy before submitting a query because this policy does not control the provider.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Colorado Judicial Branch, Jefferson County, municipal courts, legal resources, or other services. The destination's policy governs once a visitor leaves this site. Advertising companies may also use their own systems to measure activity across sites.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be received by the parties needed to operate the service.
- A search provider that handles a submitted query
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place or measure advertisements
- A government body when valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under the site's control. No internet service can promise absolute security, and this policy does not make such a guarantee.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be made.
Your Data Rights
Rights can depend on the visitor's location and the law that applies. Subject to those limits, a person may ask what personal information the site holds, request correction or deletion, or object to certain processing. Requests may require enough detail to identify the relevant information. Requests for an official Jefferson County court record must instead go to the court custodian under CJD 05-01 and related Colorado access law.
Updates to This Policy
The policy may change as services or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with an updated date.
